It is advised to use your name in your passport vs. your nicknames.
Special thanks to Lawrence Loh who will manage the process as the normal team will be in Canada. The ride will follow the traditional AUDAX 200km Patrick Williams Way which can be seen here PATRICK WILLIAMS WAY It is highly recommended that you download the .GPX file and put it in your bike computer if you have not done the route before. Riders have a total of 13.5 hours to complete the distance. If the border has a long wait then a time adjustment can be made. The ride registration process will start at United Square Starbucks at 4am and riders will roll at 4:30am sharp. As per Dan Langlois’ request, riders can finish near their homes and send the links of Strava with their elapsed times (preferred) to firstname.lastname@example.org. The ride is $5 for members and S$25 for non-members. Medallions are S$25. Someone recently asked me what they can do with the medallions….this is what I did with them. PBP 2019 starts in 403 days!
You should bring your passport, EP, PR or whatever documentation it takes to cross the border into Malaysia. If you are coming from a different country it is advised to bring your return air ticket to your home country to ensure you can cross back into Singapore. It is also advised to bring some Malaysian Ringgit to buy things from the petrol stations along the route. There are a few places for refills so if you start with two bottles and bring enough food/ drink for 75 km you should be in good shape. You should check your tires because the roads are rough in a few places…especially in Kulai town where they could be described as horrible. Remember to pace yourself as the Kulai hills are close to the end of the ride.
