Based on recent discussions around AUDAX timing, start and finish places, please note the following for future Singapore AUDAX rides. These rules will also apply to the upcoming AUDAX 600KM ride on June 9-10 2018. As of May 31, 2018 there are already 40 riders signed up for the AUDAX 600km!
All AUDAX rides start at United Square Starbucks in Singapore. The ride registration opens 45 minutes before rolling time. To be registered for AUDAX rides you need to sign in, pay the small fee and submit the ride entry form. To capture the correct time you should reset your bike computer and start calculating the time from United Square Starbucks. This way all riders should have the same start time.
In order to be family-friendly, the AUDAX rides with finish once you have completed the full distance or greater amount of kilometers. For example, an AUDAX 200km will be complete when you have 200km or more. There is no need to finish at Brewerkz or any other location in Singapore if you have done the distance.
The timing that will be credited to your completion of a BRM will be the elapsed time at the BRM distance OR the timing that you send for a distance longer than the official BRM distance. For example, on an AUDAX 200km ride, if you stop your bike computer at 200KM exactly and send that elapsed time that will be your official time that is registered with AUDAX Club Parisien. If you ride home to wherever you live and send a timing for 220km that is your official time. It is up to the rider what they choose however each rider must make that decision on their own. This method will provide riders with the options of riding directly home at the end of a Singapore AUDAX ride instead of having to finish at a designated spot which may be far from their own homes.
