This weekend the AUDAX 200km starts at the usual time – 5am for briefing and registration and we roll at 5:30am sharp. The route is below on Strava along with the Cue sheet which has the turn by turn directions from the start spot. There will likely be three groups (fast, medium, slow) so you can choose your pace. This route is really nice taking you over the Kulai hills and the always fun J94 rollers. This is one of the last 200km AUDAX rides for a while so if you are missing one for a Super Randonneur status this should be your ride! Also as a reminder, for PBP qualifying you can use longer rides to make up shorter ones but for the SR Status you need a specific 200, 300, 400 and 600km ride.
For those doing PBP, make sure you keep riding. All the medallions in the world will not carry you over 12,000 meters of climbing and 1200km of roads in Paris in August….let the games begin!
Start place is the same as usual
Longhouse has been closed- so we are meeting at Starbucks near Novena:
Starbucks at Novena/United Square is open 24 hours, has plenty of seating, and there is a 7-11 there which is also open 24 hours….so this is the closest place that holds lots of bodies and has decent food/drink for early birds. United Square – 101 Thomson Road #01-01 United Square Singapore 307591
What to bring?
Passport and whatever cards you need to cross the border. It is advisable to bring Malaysian Ringgit to buy things from the petrol stations. You should have enough food and water for 100km. Salt tablets are a good idea if you cramp up sometimes. Of course bring tubes, Co2, suntan lotion and your legs! See you Saturday.
