Congratulations to Andy Bennett for getting accepted into the Race Across Europe.   According to their Facebook page:

“A huge welcome to Andy Bennett who will be riding as an unsupported solo in the 2018 Race Across Europe!
Andy is based out of Singapore and has recently completed Paris Brest Paris, LEL and solo ridden across Vietnam and Thailand earlier this year. Having got into long distance riding in 2012 he has progressed to longer and longer adventure rides with the RACE being his biggest challenge to date.
Andy is very much representing the “Everyday Guy” in RACE and is looking forward to the scenery and great European food and beer on the way!”

SINGAPORE AUDAX RIDERS OF THE YEAR 2017

This year is a unique year as we have two riders who have matched each other in absolute madness completing amazing rides for good causes.

Commander Steven Hon tackled the Transcontinental Race from Belgium to Greece.  This ride had four check points, one of which was on top of the grueling Monte Grappe in Bassano del Grappa Italy.  In an event at Boomarang in Singapore, Hon recounted his ride saying that he considered abandoning the race…he persevered and conquered the 4800km monster ride.    For those who know Steven and how mentally and physically strong he is, you would fully appreciate how tough this unsupported ride was.  Congratulations Steven.

In addition to Mr. Hon, we also have a winner in Andy Bennett.  Andy has been a total machine in 2017.  He has ridden Chiang Mai to Phuket, LEL, Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh, Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, and today is crushing 150km in Bintan.

Both Steven and Andy win a pair of Singapore AUDAX socks.
