The next AUDAX 200km is on Saturday March 19, 2016. We will once again take the new route that Patrick Williams designed as it was very well received by the riders on February 20th. In addition, we will continue to start at United Square Starbucks and finish at Brewerkz on Riverside Point. Please sign up here Sign Up
Feb 20- AWARDS – Super impressive riders on February 20th with a another big turnout. There were at least three distinct groups and some very strong riders including Andrew Woodcock who finished on in the first group in 8:15:00! Andrew wins the JFT AUDAX Spirit Award on this ride, which coincidentally was the same day he turned 60 years old! Congrats Andrew. The Lundy Worker Award was tough to call given there were many hard workers on the road that day…for this ride there were three distinct winners. Mike Hooper (the guy on the tri bike with the purple leggings) and Angus Mathers both did incredible amounts of front time in the hard working fastest group. In addition, Kathryn Haesner also wins this award for regularly saying ‘hop on’ to try to keep some struggling riders attached the the first group…which worked in some cases, but not in all. Finally, the Silk Smile Award goes to Andrew Philippou….while many of the 8:45 group were shattered he was smiling and talking about doing a Changi Coast Loop….which ultimately changed after a few cocktails at Brewerkz. Congrats to all on winning a pair of Singapore AUDAX socks…for more information about the awards you can look here AWARDS
The Audax kits should be in early this week and I will try to set up a kit collection before the ride for those who can make it this week in Singapore….most likely at be at Boomerang on Robertson Quay. Stay tuned.
